To help you feel confident in choosing me as your freelance editor, I provide a free sample edit for new clients. This lets you experience my style firsthand and helps me give an accurate estimate based on your manuscript’s word count and needs.
Payments are securely accepted via PayPal invoice, but if you prefer a different method, just reach out. Flexibility is part of the process.
A 50% booking deposit is required to secure your project. While this deposit is non-refundable if you cancel, I’m happy to work with you to reschedule if life gets in the way.

Developmental editing is the big-picture stage of book editing. Where we shape your manuscript at the story level. As your developmental editor, I’ll help refine plot, structure, and voice so your book is ready for the next step: line editing and publishing.
cOPY EDITING
Copy editing polishes your manuscript at the sentence level. Fixing grammar, style, and consistency while keeping your voice intact. I’ll use Track Changes for full transparency and include a custom style sheet. This isn’t developmental editing—it’s all about refining, not rewriting.
LINE EDITING
Line editing goes deeper than copy editing. Focusing on sentence flow, clarity, and voice. It’s ideal for addressing awkward phrasing, tense shifts, and inconsistencies. Recommended after a sample edit, this service includes everything in a copyedit, plus detailed refinement of your manuscript’s language.
PROOFREADING
Proofreading is the final polish before book publishing. Catching typos, formatting issues, and style inconsistencies. I proofread only professionally copy-edited manuscripts, ensuring your work meets industry standards. This detail-focused service is available for all genres, both fiction and nonfiction.
